Bassline Symphony Featured in The Guardian

In January 2025, The Guardian named Bassline Symphony one of five unmissable events of Bradford's City of Culture year — written by Bradford's own Lanre Bakare.

The show happened on 9 May 2025 at St George's Hall. DJ Q, TS7, Jamie Duggan and a 45-piece Opera North orchestra. Sold out. 1,500 people. Underground bassline meeting classical power in the city that created the genre.

Getting into The Guardian before a single ticket had been sold felt significant. The full piece is still worth reading.
